Curriculum Intent
Our vision in mathematics is to develop all students as mathematical thinkers, giving them the mathematical and numerical skills to allow them to thrive academically and function successfully in the wider world. The Mathematics Faculty intends to ensure all students gain fluency in mathematical reasoning and problem solving in the areas of number, ratio and proportion, algebra, shape and measures, probability and statistics. The learning process should develop mathematical application and resilience whilst providing enjoyment and stimulating curiosity about the subject.
Our curriculum is designed to ensure that all students receive a high quality mathematical education that is tailored to their individual needs. Students follow one of three schemes of work (Beta, Delta or Gamma) through Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
